For several days after passing away of Hazrat Babuji (R.A), newspapers and periodicals featured articles and poems etc. concerning his life and achievements. Radio Pakistan broadcast the impressions of distinguished persons about him. Even the All-India Radio aired special bulletin on his demise. Ulama and Mashaikh of all school (spiritual chains) personally visited Golra Sharif to offer their condolences. Shorish Kashmiri, well-known poet and writer and editor of the weekly journal “Chataan” (The Rock); published a digest of the statements made by eminent personalities on this occasion in the 30 July 1974 issue of his journal. For several weeks after passing away of Babuji (R.A), several thousand people were served with food after evening prayers every Thursday for the purpose of invocation of blessings on his soul. The "Chehlum" (fortieth-day ceremony) was held on 11 Rajab 1374 AH and on that day, too, many newspapers published special issues about Babuji's life and work. |
